Vallisneria Spiralis Leopard is characterized by long, thin leaves that vary in shades of green, red and brownish. Very similar in appearance to regular Vallisneria Spiralis, Vallisneria Spiralis Leopard has a distinct pattern on its leaves in addition to its varying color tones. Val Spiralis Leopard offers a unique background aquarium plant choices and is relatively undemanding with care. The basics such as quality aquarium lighting, CO2 injection and aquarium soil intended for aquatic plant propagation will yield the best results. The use of root tabs or fertilizer will also help as Vallisneria absorb a lot of nutrients in the aquarium.
Propagation is simple as it spreads via side shoots and is easily separated. Regular pruning is recommended as this species can grow to the height of your aquarium easily and will also anchor deep into the substrate if given the opportunity to do so.
