Staurogyne Porto Velho has its place in the European aquarium hobby but is still generally rare within other countries. Hailing from South America, Staurogyne Porto Velho is a beautiful aquatic plant that features narrow leaves with a pointed tip. Its coloration is a beautiful greyish-green hue with light hints of a purple shade. Staurogyne Porto Velho grows moderately when provided with optimal conditions and will develop a creeping growth pattern when provided with quality aquarium lighting, CO2 injection, and a nutrient dense aquarium soil. Comparable to its popular counterpart, Staurogyne Repens, Staurogyne Porto Velho is quickly becoming a new favorite within the planted tank hobby. It is suitable as a midground aquatic plant choice or even a foreground aquatic plant as it has the potential to spread nicely and low to the substrate level. Staurogyne Porto Velho will also be referred to as Hygrophila sp. Roraima at times, but they are the same aquatic plant. With the ability to grow submerged and emersed, Staurogyne Porto Velho is a great choice for anyone who wants a lovely pop of green in their respective aquascape setups.
