Crypt. Walkeri is a common type of Crypt and is suitable for beginners due to its low requirements. Although they are easier to grow submerged, they will also grow emersed and can produce flowers above the water. Low to moderate lighting is sufficient and CO2 isn't required, but aids in speeding up the plant's growth.
Cryptocoryne Walkeri propagates through runners that can be cut and replanted into the substrate if desired. For good coverage, plant individual stems about one inch apart.
