Microsorum Pteropus AKA Java fern is a commonly used aquatic plant in the aquarium hobby due to its easy care. Java Fern Flaming, as its name states, features a signature Microsorum Pteropus green hue with foliage that is ruffled, almost resembling a flame. Similar in care to other variants of Java Fern, Microsorum Pteropus Flaming does well in low light conditions and is forgiving in a wide range of aquarium water parameters making it a great choice for beginner hobbyists and experienced enthusiasts as well. Its ruffled look provides a unique appearance and adds plenty of texture and character to a planted aquarium tank. Java Fern Flaming is of moderate size but will work well for nano-sized aquarium tanks as well as larger planted aquarium tanks with ease. We recommend using it in combination with classic aquatic plant species such as Anubias and Bucephalandra.

This aquatic plant can be attached directly onto aquarium driftwood, aquascaping rocks or any aquarium decoration using thread or glue. Make sure to keep the rhizomes above the aquarium substrate or the plant can begin to rot. Propagation is easy and straightforward; simply cut or pull apart rhizomes to be replanted/reattached.
