Bucephalandra Sintang Green is a beautiful Buce specimen! This particular variety features compact growth and a rich green tone that adds character and texture to the midground of any aquascape layout. Sintang Green is a smaller variation, making it suitable for nano planted tanks as well. Its leaves are slightly ruffled and when grown in optimal conditions, Buce Sintang Green produces vibrant color with a metallic sheen when viewed at certain angles. Bucephalandra are typicaly found in fast-flowing waters in the wild and will appreciate good flow and consistent maintenance efforts. Because Bucephalandra are slow growers, they are susceptible to algae growth on their leaves when excess nutrients are present in the water column. Low to moderate lighting is sufficient and CO2 injection isn't necessary but will aid in promoting quicker growth that is lush and full. Lack of lighting may cause the plant to become leggy! Propagation is simple and can be done by gently separating the main rhizome and reattaching to aquarium driftwood or between cracks in the hardscape layout.
