Barclaya Longifolia is an uncommon aquatic plant. Its bulb-like base grows long red leaves that can become quite large but a sight to see when paired with bushes of colorful stem plants in the background or against carpeting aquatic plants in the midground. Barclaya Longifolia does not require high light or CO2 injection, but the result will be slightly bronzed leaves. We highly recommend planting it in an aquarium tank that utilizes quality light, CO2 injection and a regular dosing schedule of essential fertilizers. The difference that will result will be very noticeable and the plant will reveal healthy leaves that are a deep maroon hue.
