Cabomba Aquatica, commonly known as Fanwort, is a feathery aquarium stem plant that originates from South America. Known for its unique foliage, Cambomba Aquatica offers rich green tones to the planted aquarium along with interesting texture in the mid to background areas of the tank. While Cabomba Aquatica is considered to be one of the least demanding Cabomba specimen, it can still be relatively finicky and factors such as insufficient lighting conditions may stunt growth and cause issues with health. When placed in a healthy aquarium, Cabomba Aquatica is a prolific grower and will need to be pruned regularly to control its growth. It has the potential to grow quite large so it is better suited for larger aquariums that are able to accommodate its growth. We recommend starting off with soft water, medium to high lighting, good flow and CO2 injection. From there, fertilizers can be administered and tweaked as desired.
