Marsilea Crenata is a carpeting foreground aquatic plant choice. It is a popular choice for its foliage that resembles a four-leaf clover. Marsilea Crenata is hardy and typically remains resilient when exposed to a wide range of planted aquarium tank parameters such as poor lighting and higher temperatures. New leaves sprouted are brown coloration and should not be mistaken for rotting or dead leaves as they will gain color upon maturing. Marsilea Crenata is hardy, easy to keep, and grow. 
This plant grows by spreading runners horizontally throughout the substrate. Lighting and CO2 injection are essential in keeping the growth short and compact. Propagation is simple, trim along the runners and replant.
