Cuphea Anagalloidea was initially introduced to the hobby as a variation of Rotala. Cuphea Anagalloidea belongs to a genus that majority consists of terrestrial plants with this particular species being one of the first successfully cultivated in aquarium settings. From what is known, Cuphea Anagalloidea is a smaller stem plant that can be relatively demanding in submerged settings. It has the capability to grow in emersed conditions and its terrestrial form is larger and primarily green in color. When grown successfully in the aquarium, the leaves can be semi-mottled with hints of red and green. Like other stem plants, propagation can be performed by replanting fresh cuttings!
