Vallisneria Gigantea Rubra is a hardy, eye-catching background aquatiic plant that is commonly seen in larger aquariums and ponds. Similar to other forms of Vallisneria, this variation is known for its height and massive size. When grown with care, Vallisneria Gigantea Rubra will reach the water's surface with ease and eventually begin drooping over, creating shade and a natural background if not maintained.
Propagation is simple as it spreads via side shoots and is easily separated. Regular pruning is recommended as this species can grow to the height of your aquarium easily and will also anchor deep into the substrate if given the opportunity to do so.
