Microsorum Pteropus Coral is a variation of Java Fern that is newer in the planted aquarium hobby. This Java Fern features random leaf splits and is comparable to Java Fern Trident in appearance. Java Fern Coral's color tone is primarily green with new growth showing a lighter pink-orange hue. Like other variations of Java Fern, Microsorum Pteropus Coral is assumed to be beginner friendly and tolerant of many tank conditions. However, when placed in an established aquarium with stable parameters, CO2 injection and source of nutrients, this aquarium plant really thrives!
This easy-to-grow beginner aquatic plant makes a great choice for filling a background or midground in a nano-sized planted aquarium tank. This aquatic plant can be attached directly onto driftwood, rocks or any aquarium decoration using thread or glue. Make sure to keep the rhizomes above your substrate or the plant can begin to rot. Propagation is easy and straightforward; simply cut or pull apart rhizomes to be replanted/reattached.
