Boiling aquarium driftwood will speed up waterlogging and the release of tannins!
Tree Branch Driftwood is perfect for creating a cascading forest look within nano to standard sized aquarium tanks. When used as accents in larger aquariums, this particular hardscape material is perfect for detailed roots and branches. Featuring extremely branchy stems and groups of small branches, these are perfect for attaching various species of aquatic mosses for an underwater tree aquascape. Alternatively, the numerous groups of tiny branches provide plenty of space for rhizome plants such as Anubias and Bucephalandra species to attach themselves to.
Measurements: Available in 3 different sizes.
Nano: 4 - 6" recommended for 4 - 10 gallon aquarium tanks.
Medium: 7 - 12" recommended for 10 - 20 gallon aquarium tanks.
Large: 12 - 18" recommended for 20+ gallon aquarium tanks.
TIP 1: Driftwood is buoyant and can float during initial stages. Soaking, boiling, or using a stone will help keep wood in place.
TIP 2: Tannins leeched from wood will provide a natural tint to water, but will gradually dissipate based on the frequency of water changes.
